Coasting Along

These are basically throw away items so you can pick them up cheap or free.
A dented artwork. Cover the damage with coasters.
Coasters are one-offs or incomplete sets.
Plus a little bit of glue.

Turn the Tables

Got a crappy table? Got less than $10 for a new one? Try this quick & easy facelift.
Give the table a good wipe taking care to remove nosey cats from the surface.
Get an old quilt cover or sheet with a design you like. *Extra effort may be needed to remove stupid cats.
Dilute white glue (ie pva, wood glue) 50% water-50% glue. Start from one corner adding glue & spreading fabric. Varnish when dry.

Bare walls needing some life and colour? Have a budget of $5 and no spare time? Do It In S'tile is the hack for you.
These junk tiles take 1-3 minutes to make and cost between 0.05c and 0.40c each. Perfect coffee table activity. Also great fun for families and groups.
STEPS
1. Cut a 15cm x 15cm cardboard square - this is the template.
2. Trace 25 squares on a box and cut.
3. Use just about anything to decorate.
4. Paste tiles on flattened box. Trim to fit.
Adhesives: white glue & a tube of super glue (5 for $2 at dollar shop).
